Topanga Salt Cellar and Spoon
Description
Within arm’s reach of the stove, a small vessel holds what the salt you reach for every day. A pinch of kosher as something simmers. A scatter of flaky Maldon just before serving. The rhythm becomes second nature—open, scoop, sprinkle.
Handmade in Topanga Canyon by ceramicist Limor Pinz, this salt cellar is shaped from high-fired clay and finished in a matte white glaze, softly speckled like sun-warmed stone. The lid rests easily in your hand, topped with a small, sculptural knob. Inside, a tiny wood spoon waits for the next pinch.
It’s the kind of object that settles into your daily rituals without ever feeling ordinary—kept by the stove, reached for without thinking, carried with you over time.

Because each piece is hand-thrown, no two salt cellars are exactly alike. Differences in glaze, shape, and finish are to be expected—and celebrated. These variations are what make each one uniquely yours.
